This is so true. In mindfulness and Buddhism it’s taught that happiness is our innate state of being and that we can uncover it from within. Instead of seeking, it’s a matter of releasing our need to control, to seek, to pursue. But it’s a hard concept to embody, especially when so much of our tangible world works the opposite way… or so I have learned. Thank you for sharing your thoughts. Insightful and an important side of the self improvement coin. 🙏
